Membership in The
Sheriff's Posse of El Dorado County Thank
you for your interest in the Sheriff's Posse of El Dorado County, a
501(c)3 charitable organization. The Posse is a group of volunteers who
have adopted a Mission Statement which reads: The members of the El
Dorado County Sheriff's Posse, in assembly, do hereby recognize their
mission to support members and their families of the El Dorado County
Sheriff's Office both enthusiastically, financially and in any other
capacity deemed appropriate in time of need". One of the basic
goals is to provide immediate financial assistance to a spouse in the
event an officer is killed in the line of duty. Other goals include two
annual membership functions, one of which is to recognize and reward
Sheriff's personnel for their hard work, (an annual B-B-Q), and the
second of which is an annual membership fund raising dinner.Membership in the Sheriff's Posse of El Dorado County is by invitation and the Posse is limited to 100 members. Posse members are not law enforcement officers but rather, serve as a volunteer support group separate and apart from the El Dorado County Sheriff's Department. If you have an interest in membership, please contact our membership chairman by email here. Fred Kollar Sheriff-Coroner Public Administrator |
